| well we're talking about a 60' long vehicle, and MOST ppl have driven
20 -
| 25' vehicles anyway... all that's required is to go slow, and pay
attention,

Bad assumption.
My son is a mechanic with one of the major volume sales outlets for RVs on
the east coast. It takes them hours, often all day, to show new buyers how
to drive something as simple as a Class C RV (less than half the size of a
school buss) so that they don't wreck the thing on the way home. this
without evacuation traffic, over roads they know intimately, with the
benefit of a bright sunny day. (think turning radius, many people believe
if the front misses the curb the rest of the dog follows, not to mention
stoping distance)
Look at traffic and accident reports (and testimony at the insurance rating
commission) people in this country and New Orleans/Houston (actually
Louisiana and Texas) in particular, have a serious problem piloting your
average car.
