I'm not saying this is right only that we don't know all the circumstances.

We've a special needs child and the things we have to do that are required
for her well being have prompted any number of rude comments and attempts to
'help' that have been far from helpful.  In a few cases they have been quite
harmful, some from the very professionals who were charged with helping.
