The story is (as I heard it) that the photographer had taken some 200 shots 
on the digital media, and turned that into the editor(or whoever, but I'll 
just use editor here) who actually found the photo amongst the other photos 
taken by the camera guy.. the photographer had NO IDEA that shot was in 
there until told about it. the photographer actually/reportedly caught so 
much flak over the photo that the editor has (allegedly) placed some sort of 
disclaimer on the site stating that it was he who had found the picture and 
used it,,, not the photographer.

least that's the condensed version of what I heard.
