I wouldn't be too hard on the nun. Doctors are capable of the same kind of
thinking. When that study came out that found little or no health benefit from a
low-fat diet, there were quotes in the news reports from doctors saying that
people should still follow low-fat diets. For some people, it's "Evidence be
damned, if I believe it works, it works."
