You've totally lost me on that last comment?
Who took what risk?
Rape and pillage are considered wrong now because it is wrong and always
has been.
Back in the days when villages contained small numbers of people, they
were powerless to defend against those committing the acts.
Only when those who realized that in order to defeat or prevent those
the acts they needed to group together to form a larger deterrents.
Those committing the acts were always in the minority, its just that
there were many small groups unable to defend against such attacks.
Of course the perpetrators considered themselves right, they were
blinded by greed and rage.
Skiing and Tackles ? Lost the plot there a bit I think.
Now if you said someone stretched a wire rope across a slope and caused
a skiing accident then of course someone can be blamed and that person
was indeed wrong.
But if someone was skiing downhill and rammed themselves into a tree,
define wrong. Wrong for doing something stupid, but no evil was
committed and no harm done to no one else, so the only wrong was done to
themselves by themselves.
Same as tackling, its only wrong if its done with malice or bad intent.
Then of course it is wrong.
If its a valid tackle then only jealousy or envy could be felt by the
tackled.
