| I got sick of Norton's BS, paying for updates and then never having it
work right and never getting any support from them, then being told after I
had to
reinstally my OS that they didn't support my version any longer and I had to
buy a NEW one,
after I had just paid for an upgrade a few months earlier. I finally
ditched them
and tarted using AVG free version. It works better than Norton ever did,
doesn't interfere with anything - it's set up to update automatically and I
have
had absolutely no problem with it - seamless, amazing for a free product.
I've used AVG free for all of my Hospice and low income friends. (I do
volunteer tech support -- not great at the job but in the land of the blind
...) AVG has worked well for years.
What's most important to me is that it a) works well and b) does not require
much in the way of effort for my clients.
