I had the same problem with convincing my doctor to give me a maintainance
dose of valium, he initially resisted because "it's addictive". Hey
Einstein, my lower back disk problem isn't ever going to fix itself, I'll
have those pain issues for the rest of my life, so WHO CARES if it's
addictive!? As far as the morpine, the feds have doctors here scared
sh*tless about being prosecuted for improper prescriptions of opiates.
