One thing that I hadn't really considered (and won't because I'll wait
to see it with my own eyes), is that they are predicting a massive drop
in the need for Anti-Virus/Spyware that it going to cause major job cuts
within the anti-Virus/Spyware industry.

"Vista will significantly shrink the aftermarket for anti-spyware and
desktop firewalls, among other products," Yankee Group analyst Andrew
Jaquith told the E-Commerce Times. "The security industry could face
significant challenges if users come to trust the built-in security
enhancements."
Thats the part I will wait to see, (but probably not in my lifetime).
I understand that Symantec are suing MS because of some technicality,
but its how the article claims the possible reduction in the need for
extra security.
I'm not a MS basher or an out and out MS supporter, but the phrase "when
pigs fly" comes to mind.
